About
Purpose
The University of Zürich (UZH) is home to a vibrant community of researchers dedicated to a vast array of space-related disciplines. UZH Space, directed by Prof. Dr. Ravit Helled, serves as the strategic umbrella network for the university’s diverse space activities. It unites more than 30 research groups across the natural sciences, life sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities, encompassing the full spectrum of UZH’s research, innovation, and educational initiatives. We envision fostering interdisciplinary research collaborations, enhancing communication and educational initiatives within the space domain, and strengthening strategic partnerships with industry.
The UZH Space Hub, directed by Prof. Dr. Dr. Oliver Ullrich, is part of UZH Space and focuses on innovation and industry relations as well as represents the interface for UZH to the Innovation Park Zurich and to the Center for Space and Aviation Switzerland and Liechtenstein CSA.
