Space Café

The Space Café is a regular series of seminars wherein researchers from the University of Zurich (and occassionally external guests) present their space-related research to an academic (but non-expert) audience. Zurich Science Fiction Network

The Zurich Science Fiction Network (ZSFN) organizes lectures, talks, and reading groups related to science fiction.

24 October 2025, 18:15 CET, Steuerungsfantasien: Science Fiction im Anthropozänby Prof. Dr. Eva Horn (University of Vienna, Vienna Anthropocene Network). The lecture will be held in German and will take place in the ETH Audimax (HG F 30).

05 November 2025, 15:00 CET, Feline Futures: Pfote, Fell, Syntagma, by Dr. Sébastian Fanzun (University of Zürich). The talk will be given in German and will take place at ETH Zürich, ML E 13.

Past Events

12 November 2025, 14:00 CET, From Extrasolar Planets to Extraterratorial IP Law, by Dr. Jean-Noël Mettler.

Space Art Exhibition:The Aesthetics of Wonder was an exhibition featuring images from both astrophysics and Earth observation. The exhibitions were organized by several members of UZH Space and were displayed at the University of Zurich from August to October, 2025.

ESA Career Event: ESA held a career event on October 3rd, 2025.
