HACK-4-SAGES: International Astrobiology Hackathon for Bachelor Students
🚀 What is HACK-4-SAGES?
A 4-day hybrid hackathon for bachelor's and undergraduate students worldwide. The theme is digital twins in astrobiology.
🕰️ When does it take place?
The main hackathon takes place from 10 to 12 March 2026.
A welcome webinar is held on 9 March, and the winners are announced live on 13 March.
💻 Where does it take place?
It takes place online and at our hosting and co-hosting institutions. The full list of in-person locations is available on our website: https://hack-4-sages.org/
Students are welcome to participate online.

Exploring the art and science of astrophotographyThe Department of Astrophysics and UZH Space cordially invite you for a special public astrophotography event celebrating the beauty of the cosmos.
The evening will feature a gallery-style exhibition showcasing stunning images taken by members of the department, accompanied by an apéro and a presentation offering insights into the creative process, technical challenges, and the stories behind the images.

A Case for Space Environmentalism: Emerging Impacts of Spaceflight
As space activity accelerates, identifying and assessing its environmental and socioeconomic impacts is becoming increasingly important. With a particular focus on emerging space technologies and applications, this two-day workshop makes a case for addressing how space activities may affect both the Earth environment and environments beyond Earth, now and in the future.

Environmental Law in the Space Age: A Workshop on Emerging Space Activities
Bringing together legal scholars, policy makers, and technical experts, this workshop seeks to address the environmental challenges posed by current and future space activities. Building directly on a preceding interdisciplinary workshop that will identify emerging environmental impacts of spaceflight, this workshop will shift the focus toward governance by prioritizing key issues, identifying gaps in existing legal and policy frameworks, and exploring appropriate regulatory and research pathways.
